Shoes for subcultures as "Skin, Punk, Grunge & Goths'.
In 1945, Dr. Klaus Maertens injured his foot in a skiing accident. To facilitate that move, he designed a shoe with an air-absorbing soles. With the help of rubber tires, he constructed a rubber sole that was filled with air. He showed his model for his friend, Dr. Herbert Funck, and together they decided to develop and begin producing the shoes.
The first shoe sold to the public came 1960th Dr.. Martens footwear has since played a major role in the history of subcultures. For mods, skinheads, punks and the shoes are obviously a modern classic.
